About Valuables in Marathon

Valuables are the loot items in Marathon that you pick up for one main reason: Credits. When you successfully exfil, all valuables in your inventory are automatically sold for Credits, which makes them one of the easiest ways to turn a good run into real account progress. Datacards follow a similar idea, but they do not take up backpack space the way valuables do.

Valuables in Marathon come in rarities: Standard, Enhanced, Deluxe, Superior, and Prestige. On the low end, items like Generic Records sit at 10 Credits, while high-end valuables like Damaged UESC Helmet, Corrupted Personal Log, and The Severed Twins are listed at 12,000 Credits each. That huge gap is why valuables matter so much once your backpack starts filling up.
