Equipment

Equipment is the extra tactical gear you bring into a run. It includes grenades and gadgets that add damage, defense, utility, scouting, or support on top of your weapons and shell abilities.

Marathon has over 13 pieces of equipment right now. These include both grenades and gadgets.

The current equipment pool is mainly split into grenades and gadgets. Grenades include items like Frag Grenade, Heat Grenade, Chem Grenade, EMP Grenade, Flechette Grenade, and Smoke Grenade, while gadgets include Ammo Crates, Claymore Mine, Proximity Sensor, Trap Pack, and Bubble Shield.

Bubble Shield is a gadget that creates a spherical energy shield that absorbs incoming damage. It is currently listed as a Superior equipment item.

Grenades are usually built for direct action like damage, disruption, or area pressure. Gadgets are more about utility, including ammo support, scouting, traps, and temporary protection.

MIDA is the faction most closely tied to equipment. Its upgrade tree unlocks a large part of the current equipment pool, including grenades, ammo crates, sensors, mines, and Bubble Shield.
