Consumables in Marathon cover health recovery, shield recovery, revives, buffs, status cleanses, and situational utility, which means they affect both survival and how confidently you can take your next fight. Marathon has multiple types of Consumables. These are: Heal, Shield, Buff, Cleanse, Survival, and Utility categories.
Marathon’s starter guidance makes it clear that healing and ammo are valuable enough that you should bring them with you, not rely on finding plenty during a run. It also confirms that Smart Heal uses the most effective item for your situation, while holding the heal input lets you manually choose from the radial.
The core consumables are the ones most players will feel right away: Patch Kits, Shield Charges, Advanced Patch Kits, Advanced Shield Charges, Panacea Kit, and Self Revive. Shield Charge restores 1 shield slot, while Panacea Kit fully restores health, fully recharges shields, and removes hazardous status effects.
Then there is the second half of the system, which is where consumables get more interesting. Mechanic’s Kit and Advanced Mechanic’s Kit handle physical status effects, while OS Debug, OS Reboot, and Advanced OS Debug cover digital ones. On top of that, items like Cardio Kick, Energy Amp, Signal Jammer, HEC, and Anti-Virus Pack push consumables into mobility, cooldown support, stealth, and corruption protection.
